Client asked to have the bolt I had just installed moved in closer to the action by 1/8 of an inch. NOT a problem!
I cut off the brand new bolt handle, moved it in a 1/8 of an inch, TIG welded it back on. Then we did some modification to the safety, Cerakoted everything again and it is ready to go!

The custom .50 BMG bolt action is completed! A lot of work went into this one. Stock refinishing, trigger work, adjustable cheek riser, Cerakote, 30 MOA scope mount / rail, refitting of the recoil pad, grip was dropped by a 1/4 of an inch and rotated down 5° for larger hands, channel for the bolt was opened up to stop binding while cycling, and the bolt itself was polished before the Cerakote.
This big thumper will soon be back out sending very large projectiles down range!

Custom fitting a customized muzzle brake for a Rossi 45-70 lever action.
The factory barrel has a 2 stepped shoulder. Making it so just adding shims to index the brake looks unprofessional!
Machined a step into the back of the brake and then shaved down the mating surface to self index!

Finished restoring this Savage 99 chambered in .300 Savage. What a great rifle design! New rear stock was sanded to 800 grit aluminum oxide, the original front stock was cleaned then sanded the surface only to preserve the patina. Tong oil finish along with a new recoil pad.
The rifle itself was extremely dirty. To the point it would not function. 100% disassembled and cleaned, then a few parts were polished before reassembly. This is a takedown model and is ready for decades to come.

We are back in full swing on Cerakote and repairs!
While we are not finished fixing everything yet in the shop, we do have the spray booth up and running along with the tool bench!
We also have all the welders wired up!
Shop entrance is on the left hand side of the building and will soon have a covered walk way and signs!
The sidewalk and handicap ramp is installed too!
1911 converted to 460 Rowland with new safety parts and trigger. Parts including the slide and frame were all hand blended together for the perfect fit. Client will have the pistol plated at some point later. New short trigger, over sized magazine release, safeties, hammer, and sights installed.
I've been busy with Cerakote and fitting custom parts to a 1911 chambered in 460 Rowland. I also converted a Glock G36 to 460 Rowland recently, probably the only one in the country! More projects are coming into the shop so finish times for projects are starting to stretch out again. Please be patient with me, I am getting them done as a first come, first served basis.
October 31, 2023
We are back up and running on a limited basis. Everyone knows how much it rains in Forks! I am not working on Firearms if the weather let's me work outside sealing the rest of the building up! Once we are forced back inside, it is Cerakote and repair time!
Lots of progress on the new place, we are happy to be here and looking forward to being finished with the setup of the new place!😀
To help keep our clients dry, our next big push will be a roof over the shop entry door!
May 31, 2023
Success! The crazy wood / oil burning stove that Ernie built in the middle of the shop has been removed! It only took a log loader, line saw, and a blatant disregard for safety! HAHHAHAHAHHAAA
NOW we can move forward with other aspects of getting the shop moved! Thank you ALL for your patience!
May 18, 2023
We have power at the shop finally! Working on having the building wired and plumbed.
April 28, 2023
We are working hard to have everything up and running by June if the ATF and the remodeling all come together smoothly! The new power panel is installed and we are looking at being plugged into the grid first part of May!
Rogue Gunn Works shop will be temporarily closed till I complete the move to my new location in Forks Washington.
With the rising cost of inflation, we are freezing our Cerakote application prices and removing any extra cost for the disassembly and assembly of firearms. That is now included in the price! Extra charge for dirty or rusted firearms based on condition still applies. All firearms must be unloaded, in working order and safe. Gunsmithing and repair charges will be added to your bill. We cannot Cerakote everything... wish we could. What we can do, is give a comprehensive list once you have brought in your project. We are not responsible for the damage of removing sights from pistols. Some factories install sights with extreme pressure and very special tooling we cannot obtain. If there are any questions, let us know! We can quote a base price over email if you send quality photos. Lead times are usually a few weeks. We try to keep up with both commercial projects and custom Cerakote. Each project is unique, we try to make it as easy as possible!
We now have the ability to spray NIR Cerakote... IE it is "invisible " to thermal and night vision optics (as long as it is the same temp!)
Even at different temperatures, it makes it very difficult to detect the signature! This has been a military or law enforcement only coating for years requiring an official letterhead.
We will be holding a special on Cerakote VERY SOON!
We have been authorized to now offer IR invisible Cerakote to the general public for the first time.
“In addition to the signature management capability, Cerakote™ Gen II offers superior wear, chemical and corrosion resistance for any of the wide variety of adverse environmental conditions likely to be encountered…”
This coating is the premier Cerakote for any sneaky snake 🐍 operations that may or Maynor take place!

We headed up into the Olympic Mountains for some shooting in the snow. Temperatures were just above freezing making for a wet experience. The Steyr AUG performed flawlessly. So did the LWRC and the custom built AR. Both Glocks didn't have any hiccups either of course. 2 hours later with soaked firearms, we headed back down to do some cleaning and drying.
